FUR-requently Asked Questions

WHY DOES IT COST MORE FOR MOBILE GROOMING THAN A REGULAR SALON?

Mobile grooming is a luxury convenience service and we come to you! This saves you time to not have to transport your dog to and from the groomer interrupting your day or busy work schedule. In return, this costs us more time in traveling, maintenance, filling water tanks, winterizing and un-winterizing the trailer daily in the winter and providing one-on-one service with your dog.  We typically groom about 3-4 less dogs in a day as a traditional brick and mortar salon per groomer. We believe in providing a calm, quiet, gentle and relaxing environment without cages, barking dogs or phones ringing.  We only use the best natural high quality products.

WILL YOU NEED TO USE MY ELECTRICITY OR WATER? WILL YOU NEED TO DRAIN DIRTY WATER?

Nope! We arrive with a top of the line 16’ converted grooming trailer which is a completely self-contained grooming salon on wheels. It has 125 gallons of fresh water and dirty water tanks, generators for power and all other grooming equipment to make the grooming process smooth. We always use fresh and clean water and never reuse water.  The only thing that might be left behind when we leave is condensation water from the air conditioner.

CAN I SEE WHERE YOU GROOM MY DOG?

Absolutely! We are extremely proud of our top of the line grooming salon on wheels that our own blood, sweat and tears went into to convert it. We are more than happy to show off our hard work. Click here to take a tour now!

CAN I STAY TO WATCH MY DOG DURING THEIR GROOM?

Due to insurance and liability purposes, we cannot allow anyone inside while services are being performed. Also, pets are generally calmer when they cannot see or hear their human family members.  They tend to be overly excited, anxious and jump when you are present.  As we work with sharp tools, you can see how this would create a dangerous environment to safely groom in.  Your dog’s safety is our utmost priority and can assure you they are in the best hands possible. We kindly ask that you do not disturb during the grooming process.

DO YOU GROOM CATS?

Unfortunately, we do not.

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME WHILE YOU GROOM MY DOG?

We ask that you be home for their first appointment.  After that, we do offer latch key service. This allows us to access your dog while you are not home by way of key or door code if you are busy at work or unable to be home. We require you to have your dog in a contained area so we can safely and quickly access them.  We do not want to have to charge extra or reschedule an appointment due to searching for your dog.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY DOG GROOMED? DO YOU OFFER OCCASIONAL OR ONE TIME GROOMING?

We typically recommend every 4-6 weeks but no more than 8 weeks. We are a luxury convenience service and provide service to clients who wish to stay on a regular grooming schedule. Due to the nature of scheduling and routes, we do not offer occasional or one time grooming.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?

We service the Lansing and surrounding areas. We can drive a little further for an additional charge. Click here to see our service area.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE MY DOG FOR THEIR FIRST APPOINTMENT AND APPOINTMENTS THEREAFTER?

Before your first appointment, please complete the required forms which can be found by clicking here. These only need to be completed once for all future appointments.  Besides the required forms, please take your pet out to potty before we arrive.  If you are not home and do latch key service, we provide a quick potty break as we walk your dog to the trailer. If you would like a longer walk, we can discuss this as an add on service.

DO YOU ACCEPT TIPS?

Absolutely! Tips are never expected but are always greatly appreciated. Another great way to show your appreciation and gratitude for our service is to leave us a glowing Facebook or Google review!

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?

As long as your dog is well behaved, then we can groom larger breeds!  Unruly large dogs are extremely taxing on our bodies.
